Kiran Bedi- She was born in the 50s and 60s and at that point in life, India didn't belong to girls. India belonged to boys and girls were just rolled up to get married. But Kiran Bedi, she grew as a product of opportunities and very rare opportunities that girls used to get during that point of time.
She joined the Indian police as of very tuff women and gave the policing thing a completely new definition.
POWER TO CORRECT, POWER TO PREVENT AND POWER TO DETECT was her policing thing.
When she had to deal with terrorists, rapists, burgers, and murderers in her prison assignment, her efforts were darn tootin'.
She organized 100s of educational classes in her prison assignment where teachers were prisoners and books came from donated schools. It was in the history that prisoners were made to learn and educate. That is FROM BAR TO AN ASHRAM, through EDUCATION. And that's the bigger change.
The hurricane tasks that she did is seen in this era. She is an inspiration and so not only India but the world needs women like Kiran Bedi.
