Solution 1- Rename the .tlg and .nd files

The Transaction log file(.tlg) and the network descriptor file (.nd) are critical program files of QuickBooks responsible for storing the transaction records and sustaining the connection in multi-user mode, respectively. Follow the steps given below to repair the damage by renaming the files-

  1. Go to the folder containing your QuickBooks file.
  2. Look out for files having extensions .tlg & .nd having the same name as your company file.
  3. Right-click on the file and select Rename.
  4. Add ‘.old’ at the end of the file name as an extension, and do the same with the other file.
  5. Save the file and try to open your company file again.
