Introduction to the Venmo Credit Card

Today, Venmo unveiled it is first-ever +1(909) 235-7144 Venmo Credit Card, powered by the Visa network and issued by Synchrony (NYSE: SYF), which offers users automatic cash back on all eligible purchases, a customized rewards program, and the option to manage the card right from the Venmo app. For Venmo's community of more than 60 million users, the card opens up new avenues for shopping, sharing or splitting purchases, and earning cash back – anywhere Visa® credit cards are accepted.

The +1(909) 235-7144 Venmo Credit Card maximizes opportunities to earn cash back while providing the Venmo community with a dynamic rewards experience that only Venmo can provide. Customers automatically receive cash back on the categories where they spend the most each month. On their top spend category, they can receive up to 3% cash back*, on their second-highest, up to 2%, and on all other purchases, they can receive up to 1% cashback

With no expiration date on cash rewards collected, clients may maximize their purchases as the top spend categories change based on their monthly purchasing behavior. Customers can choose how to use their cash back by making statement payments, sending money to friends via the Venmo app, making purchases at millions of online and mobile merchants that accept Venmo at checkout, or transferring the funds to a linked bank account or debit card. Cashback is automatically added to a customer's account with Venmo.

What benefits of the Venmo Credit Card?

Personalized Rewards Experience: The card offers a distinct, clever rewards system that can track and manage each customer's purchasing patterns. Depending on where clients spend the most, the top spend categories fluctuate each month. Consumers can earn cash back in the following eight categories: gas, groceries, health & beauty, bills & utilities, gas, entertainment, dining & nightlife, transportation, and travel.

Easily Track and Manage Finances: Users may easily manage their card and spending with the Venmo Credit Card within the smartphone app. Users may use the app to split and share purchases, monitor cashback status, view real-time activity categorized by spending categories, make payments, manage their credit cards, and do a lot more. Customers now have the option to sign up for real-time alerts, which will allow them to see when and where transactions are made as well as when cashback is paid to their accounts.

Custom Card Design: Each card, which comes in five vivid, colorful patterns, is printed with a customer's special QR code on the front, giving each one of them a unique card design. The QR code may be scanned using the camera on a smartphone to activate the card or by friends using the Venmo app to send payments or split purchases.

Virtually shop: Consumers may shop online whenever they want, even before their real card arrives in the mail, thanks to a virtual card that they can access.

Touch-free, safer payments: The Venmo Credit Card has an RFID-enabled chip, enabling customers to pay with a simple touch at the point of sale rather than inserting the chip or swiping their card.

Worry-Free Card Management: Customers may quickly and easily freeze their physical cards from within the app in the event of a lost or stolen card while still using their virtual cards to make purchases online.

Powered by Visa: The Venmo Credit Card provides cardholders with perks such as emergency cash transfers, travel protection services, and Visa's Zero Liability Policy[1], which shields cardholders from being liable for fraudulent charges made with their account or account information.

No annual fee. No foreign transaction fees: According to Darrell Esch, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Venmo, "We're delighted to offer the Venmo Credit Card, bringing our community a unique sort of mobile-first credit card - backed by Visa - that only Venmo and Synchrony can provide. "The card offers our clients the same distinctive Venmo experience they already know and love in a simple, user-friendly card and rewards program that is all conveniently managed and controlled from the Venmo app," says the company. The Venmo Credit Card is another way we're bringing Venmo's features into people's daily lives. Venmo has grown to be an essential part of how our community spends, shares, and manages its money.

In order to bring the Venmo/Synchrony card to market, we are happy to strengthen our already strong partnership with PayPal and Venmo, according to Dennis Bauer, Senior Vice President and General Manager of PayPal and Venmo at Synchrony. "We believe Venmo consumers will find the auto-personalized rewards program in a native app experience on the Venmo Credit Card to be a new benchmark in the industry.

According to Matt Dill, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Digital Partnerships & Ventures at Visa, Venmo is one of the first platforms to successfully combine payments with social experiences at scale. "We are particularly happy to work with Venmo and Synchrony to launch a digital-first Visa credit card that will link the Venmo community with Visa vendors throughout the world, taking that special capacity to the next level.

In the upcoming months, all U.S. qualifying Venmo users will be able to apply for the Venmo Credit Card. Now, only a limited few customers can do so using the most recent Venmo app. Visit venmo.com/about/creditcard for additional information.
